Gratitude And The Law Of Attraction – A Powerful Combination

When you practice Gratitude, you feel joy and happiness. When you are caught in sadness and sorrow, you can not have a feeling of gratitude.

The feeling of gratitude is something very powerful. The joy and the happiness that you feel come from the inside because the mind is turning inward and no longer plays the role of the middleman.

Therefore, when you experience feelings of gratitude and you entertain thoughts and emotions of such order, you raise your vibration (positive energy) that are consistent with what you want.

And since the law of attraction stipulates that like attracts like, you will receive the things you want in relation to your energy vibration.

So if you are grateful for the life you lead, you are going to be naturally happy and you are going to attract more of what you are grateful for.

What is the Law of Attraction? Recently, I wrote an article on the subject. Can you create the life you desire? The Law of Attraction says yes.

The feeling of gratitude

Before you start, there is one thing you have to know.

If you want to grasp how to feel gratitude deeply in your heart that can be helpful for you, so you can understand it’s interwoven nature and uncover its blessings, it’s important that you take the time to understand its features not only through the intellect but also through your deep emotions and feelings.

In this article, I will explain what it is gratitude and how it can completely change your life. Gratitude is not a notion that you can understand with the mind because it’s just the first level (the definition in the dictionary).

#1 What is gratitude?

A simple definition of gratitude would be: “The quality of being thankful for a benefit or service rendered and readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.”

But this definition is very basic and simple. It is only understood by the mind whereas Gratitude is something more powerful of all human emotions.

“Gratitude is a divine attitude in the wisdom traditions. It takes you out from the ego self and takes you into the higher self. That higher state of consciousness initiates self repair, self regulation and healing.”

-Deepak Chopra

Which means that Gratitude is really inside you, in the Heart. Gratitude is always present, it is the genesis of joy and happiness.

But why we do the opposite? We prefer to focus our attention on fear, sadness, misfortune. We forgot to take advantage of what makes us happy.

With practice, yes you can learn how to be grateful, you will perform your first immersion, in the Heart, where gratitude lies.

“Grace is always present. You imagine it as something high in the sky, far away, something that has to descend. It is really inside you, in your Heart. When the mind rests in its Source, grace rushes forth, sprouting as from a spring within you.”

-Ramana Maharshi

#2 Why is gratitude such a powerful practice?

Scientific studies have shown that gratitude possesses properties of happiness and can have a positive effect on psychological and physical well-being.

Gratitude makes us happy. By expressing your gratitude, this triggers positive emotions and the more you have feelings of gratitude the more you will get used to this way of seeing life and the more you will adapt to the good things happening in your life.

Research has shown that the feeling of gratitude helps to increase positive emotions, including contentment, happiness, pride, and hope.

And these same positive emotions allow you to be more open to the world and develop personal lasting resources. You have a fulfilled social life.

The feeling of gratitude increases well-being because it creates psychological, social and spiritual resources.

When you practice gratitude daily, you are constantly stimulated, this helps to strengthen social ties and lasting friendships.

When you are grateful, you feel loved and encouraged by others, it allows you to create new emotional ties and thus consolidate your attachments to others.

#3 The feeling of gratitude and the law of attraction

If you have trouble getting what you want it is because of your resistance.

Resistance is nothing but your negative thoughts, your doubts, your skepticism. At the slightest obstacle, you divert your attention from the things you want. You no longer distinguish your emotions over the things you want from the ones you do not want.

But when you are in alignment with what you are asking, you are in a state of non-resistance. You stop blocking what you want. By being in this vibrational energy, you attract towards you what you want.

The key to receiving what you want is to be in a vibrational state of non-resistance so you can experience what you want and not what you do not want.

By feeling gratitude, you break the effects of the resistance. Because the feeling of gratitude makes you feel good.

The feeling of gratitude thoroughly cleanses your negative thoughts and emotions.

Now that you know the effect of the law of attraction through gratitude and you accept the fact that you absolutely attract everything that happens to you, it’s easy to focus on the things you want.

The expression, it is by grace that you have been saved, by virtue of faith, is quite appropriate.

When you focus on the things you want, the law of attraction will act upon them and you will begin to attract to you the desired things.

#4 Little things to brighten your day

“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.”

-Eckhart Tolle

How many times per day are we grateful for the many blessings we have?

How many times per day do we say “thank you” to a stranger?

By using the power of gratitude with the law of attraction, you have in your possession a powerful combination for happiness and joy and have the life you’ve always wanted.

When you wake up in the morning bear in mind that every day is a great day and being grateful for the arrival of the day.

If you observe your thoughts throughout the day, you will notice that negative thoughts and feelings of lack happen more easily than their positive counterparts.

And the law of attraction states that everything you think and feel, you draw it into your life.

So, when your feelings of lack emerge, you create an interruption of the natural flow of life.

But on the other hand, when you have positive and grateful emotions, you accelerate what you desire.

From now on, what you can do is to appreciate, consciously, every positive moment of your life and to love what you already have.

As the feeling of gratitude makes you feel good and offers a sense of comfort, you will feel happier, more optimistic and therefore more open to receiving what you want.

As Ramana Maharshi said, grace is already within you. This is not something you need to do but something you need to discover again.
