If the Facebook`s Social Network was a country it would be the most populous nation in the whole world. Active monthly users on the Facebook social media platform have 890 million daily users and 1.39 billion monthly active users, traffic of this magnitude cannot BE IGNORED.

Having such large traffic volumes requires controls to make the user experience a pleasant one.

So within social media there are rules of engagement within the community. This I’m sure when Mark Zuckerberg and his pals began Facebook in their college dorms, they could not have envisioned the phenomenon it has become.

Facebook is called a social media network so the  business users must remember  not all Facebook users are there for business purposes, this you must always remember to be  social first business after. Facebook is the world`s number one social network and as mentioned earlier it membership is larger than every country in the world. Membership is free and before you can capitalize on this huge expanse of traffic you must become a member.

An effective strategy is find relevant groups within your niche. From within Facebook you can search for groups that are closely aligned with your area of interest.

For example if “dieting” is your area of interest you can type it into the search bar and pulled many relevant group on dieting, from there choose the groups that allow comments and posting of offers to the group.

You must be selective in your choice not to join closed groups who will not allow comments or outside offers. Checkout the group rules before joining, this will help avoid any surprises.

Be deliberate, make comments within your groups, make regular post your friend’s walls, like and share relevant information with your friends and within groups.

Add value to people this establish your authority within your relevant groups.

Your next most logical step would to start a group of your own; you can invite other group members and friends to join your group. And now that you are the administrator, you can direct group according to your preferences. This is a proven network marketing strategy.

Another effective method of engagement is Fanpage method.  The Fanpage is a better method for businesses. Within the confines of you Fanpage you can send offers to those who have liked you page. Under normal circumstances open promotion is strictly forbidden. Facebook prefers that for business you use a Fanpage and this is why Facebook is so hard on those who use their personal pages for business purposes. Many people have seen their accounts to be turned off and can result in a complete losing of your privileges.
